Kawasaki’s Versys 1000 SE sportstourer is now on sale in Australia for $22,499 plus on-road costs.
The heavily updated long-legged adventure/sports tourer was unveiled at last year’s EICMA show in Milan, retaining its 17-inch wheels and powered by the same 1078cc engine as the predecessor, but lean-angle sensitive ABS and traction control is now standard, as is cruise control, electronic throttle valves, a TFT dash and an adjustable screen.
The SE model boasts the firm’s KECS semi-active suspension package, three switchable engine modes, as well as a bi-directional quickshifter, cornering lights, a full-colour TFT dash and the Japanese firm’s innovative self-healing paint and an assist and slipper clutch.
