2019 Kawasaki Ninja 125 and Z125

Kawasaki rounds out Zed range with two more 125cc models

Kawasaki has revealed images and a few tasty details of its Z125 duo ahead of their official launch slated for next month’s Intermot show in Cologne, Germany.

Not to be confused with the Japanese brand’s small-wheeled Z125 Pro, the naked Z125 and the faired Ninja 125 sportsbike will complete the capacity spectrum for 2019, which so far includes 250cc, 300cc, 400cc, 650cc, 900cc and 1000cc versions.

The bikes will both use the same chassis as the Kawasaki Z250, which means they’ll adopt the same overall dimensions as their larger-capacity counterparts.

Despite not falling into the 250cc and above category, which mandates the inclusion of ABS under Euro 4 regulations, the pictures suggest both machines are likely to adopt the popular electronic rider aid.

Kawasaki has confirmed the smaller engines will be capable of making 11kW, and will run a 100/80-17 front tyre matched to a 130/70-17 rear.

Bikesales.com.au will provide full coverage of the Intermot show, which kicks off on October 2.
