Husqvarna’s launched the 2019 Husqvarna FS 450 supermoto machine, with a redesigned chassis and engine platform.
The upgrades to the FS 450 include the blue-coated frame with increased rigidity, while the composite carbon fibre subframe gets an additional weight reduction of 250 grams.
The FS 450 has WP suspension, including a 48mm air fork, while a redesigned cylinder head reduces the engine’s weight by 500 grams – making the single-cylinder SOHC powerplant more compact than ever. With an overall weight of 27.3kg, the engine offers peak power output of 63hp and also comes with updated traction and launch control settings,
The FS 450 is equipped with black 16.5 (front) and 17-inch (rear) Alpina spoked wheels, mated to Bridgestone slick tyres.
Showcasing Husqvarna Motorcycles’ pioneering development direction, fresh and distinctive new bodywork matches advanced ergonomics with a pure yet effective Swedish-inspired design.
Other highlights include:
• Chain adjustment length increased by 5mm
• Seven-litre polythene fuel tank with new fuel line routing
• ProTaper handlebar with new bend
• New throttle cable routing for easier maintenance
• Flow-designed resonance chamber & more compact silencer
• Updated cooling system with new centre tube
• Magura hydraulic clutch with SUTER anti-hopping system
• High performance Brembo brakes
