The 2019 Husqvarna 701 Supermoto machine has arrived in Aussie showrooms, priced at $15,995 plus on-road costs.
Closely related to the 701 Enduro, the 701 Supermoto employs the single-cylinder engine that has been seen in bikes like the KTM 690 Duke.
It’s without a doubt one of the best single-cylinder engines ever made, and in 701 Supermoto spec has 74hp and 71Nm. The ride-by-wire engine is paired with a Magura hydraulic clutch and Keihin electronic fuel injection with a 50mm throttle body.
There’s a steel trellis frame, while the self-supporting rear subframe is integrated with a 13-litre fuel tank.
The fully adjustable WP suspension delivers 215mm (front) and 250mm travel, and the 17-inch black anodised wheels are shod with Continental tyres.
There’s a radially mounted four-piston Brembo caliper at the front, and ABS is from Bosch.
The 701 Supermoto is joined in Husqvarna's supermoto line-up by the FS 450.
