2019 Honda CRF450L test ride events
The road-registerable machine is now on sale, and you can try it out at a test ride event during September and October 2018Honda’s all-new CRF450L is now on sale for $12,999.
The CRF450L is a full-on dirt bike with a registration plate – but could also become a very capable lightweight adventure bike in its own right.
The machine is based on the 2019 CRF450R motocross bike and has a wide-ratio six-speed transmission mated to an “evolved” 449cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine. The L also has revised cam profiles and timing, and a dedicated ECU setting. There’s also a twin-spar aluminium frame.
The six-speed gearbox will definitely make road riding a more comfortable affair, while street legality is achieved via features like LED lighting, mirrors, and a single-sided exhaust rather than the dual setup on the competition models.
There’s electric start powered by a lithium-ion battery, and the fuel tank is made from titanium.
Customer test ride events
The following CRF450L test ride events will be held:
- Qld: Queensland Moto Park, September 23 from 11:00-4:00pm;
- NSW: Wollongong Motorcycle Club, September 29 from 9:30am-3:30pm;
- SA: Acusa Park, September 30 from 11:00am-2:00pm;
- WA: West Moto Park, October 14 from 10:00am-3:00pm; and
- Vic: Parwan Ride Park, October 27 from 9:30am-3:30pm
Participants will also get the opportunity to ride the 2019 CRF450R.
Please note that each motocross venue charges an entry fee for riders, which will cover rider insurance
