Thirty-year-old Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto today unveiled a three-tiered range of 692cc parallel-twin machines, tackling the mid-sized nakedbike category head-on.
bikesales.com.au can reveal all three versions will be made available in Australia, with the director of CFMoto importer Mojo Motorcycles Michael Poyton also revealing the models may also make their way to Aussie shores in LAMS-approved guise.
Designed in Italy by Kiska Design, the mob responsible for the styling of KTM machinery, there’s a Sport, Hero an Adventure version all aimed at the lucrative modern retro segment of the market.

Dubbed the 700CL-X, all three versions are powered by the same 692cc parallel-twin engine capable of 75hp and 67Nm. They employ a ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control and a slipper clutch. If we do end up seeing learner-approved versions in Australian dealerships, Poynton says the factory will use the firm’s existing 650cc engine, currently found in the likes of the 650NK.
Suspension duties will be handled by an adjustable upside-down front for up front, matched to a monoshock at the rear adjustable for both preload and damping. The braking package consists a single 320mm disc at the front gripped by a radial-mounted caliper, while a 260mm disc looks after the rear.
In keeping with the modern retro styling, all three machines will run a 180-section, 17-inch rear tyre matched to an 18-inch front.
