Finnish electric motorbike company Verge has wowed the EICMA crowd with a 1000Nm machine with the motor mounted in the hubless rear rim.
The radical design looks like an escapee from a Tron movie set and the futuristic look ensured there were plenty of people passing for a close inspection of that rear wheel.
Verge says the motor is good for 107hp (80kW) and a maximum output of 1000Nm. That'll light the tyre up on take-off.

The TS designation is an homage to creator Teemu Saukkio, who invented the bike's signature hubless rear wheel and regenerative braking system.
Verge was previously known as RMK Vehicles and a prototype of the TS was shown earlier this year as the E2.
Pricing on the Verge TS is around $40,000, with production slated to start early 2020.
