2019 BMW GS off-road training courses
Off-road training has been tailored to all levels of talent and physiqueDates for the acclaimed BMW GS Off Road Training courses for the rest of the 2019 have been released.
The factory-backed tuition is led by off-road specialists Shane Booth, Chris Urquhart and Miles Davis.
The Australian version of the courses began in 2013 and to date around 2000 riders have been tuned-up to get the best out of their GS machinery.
The range of courses has expanded over the years and now includes sand and level three.
The courses cater for the entire adventure riding skill set, from basic ascent, descent and cornering techniques in level one through to a course specifically for female riders, and advanced training in the form of a dedicated sand course and level three tuition recommended for serious off-roaders looking to extract the best from the bike and themselves.
The above courses run for two days and cost $695 – similar money to a one-day track day/training session on a road bike.
A four-day supercharged "Adventure Masterclass" is a $1695 proposition designed to get new GS rapidly up to speed on everything from sand techniques to maintenance and how to handle a bike off-road..

- August 10-11 – Level 1 Canberra, ACT $695
- September 20-21 – Ladies Dargle, NSW (open to all brands) $695
- September 22-23 – Level 1 Dargle, NSW (open to all brands) $695
- October 17-18 – Pre-GS Tour L1 Bright, Vic $695
- November 1-2 – Level 1 Kirup, WA (open to all brands) $695
- November 3-4 – Level 2 Kirup, WA (open to all brands) $695
- November 14-17 – Adv Masterclass Mt Seaview, NSW $1695
