2019 Benelli TNT 135 on sale

Learner-approved urban machine priced at $3990 rideaway

A $3990 rideaway price should draw riders into Benelli dealerships to cast an eye over the just-launched TNT 135, which is a successor to the TnT 125.

It is a similar concept to the Honda Grom and Kawasaki Z125 Pro in being a scaled-down motorbike as distinct from a scooter, despite riding on 12-inch wheels.

The TNT 135’s advantage over the pair above is the extra 10cc capacity and power from the four-valve single-cylinder 135cc engine, coupled to a “class-leading” five-speed gearbox (the competitors have four cogs).

2017 Benelli TnT 125 launch review

Benelli Australia claims 13hp (9.5kW) and 10.8Nm against 9.5hp (7.1kW)/9.6Nm for the Kawasaki and the Grom’s 9.7hp (7.2kW)/10.9Nm.

The TNT 135 also uses bike-sized 41mm forks up front and the rear monoshock has preload adjustment.

The Benelli comes in red, white or black paintwork and is backed by a two-year warranty including roadside assist.
