Australian Motorcycle Festival: Nov 9-10

Will replace the Sydney Motorcycle Show, with the Wollongong-based festival to be run by Troy Bayliss Events

The 2018 Melbourne Moto Expo may go down in history as the swansong of the traditional indoor-based motorcycle show in Australia.

That certainly appears to be the case following the announcement by Troy Bayliss Events (TBE) that instead of following tradition and hosting the Sydney Motorcycle Show in late 2019, it will now run the inaugural and outdoor-based Australian Motorcycle Festival at Lang Park in Wollongong (NSW). Lang Park is based on the city’s foreshore and already has a history of hosting outdoor exhibitions.

The festival will be held on the weekend of November 9-10, and also include a sporting flavour with round three of the 2019 Australian Supercross Championship just up the road at WIN Stadium.

Full details on the Australian Motorcycle Festival are yet to be announced, with a website on the way soon. In the interim, visit www.troybaylissevents.com for more information.

Meanwhile, tickets for the supercross round on November 9 will go on sale on April 29 via Ticketmaster. Click here for more information.
