2018 Suzuki RM-Z450 looming

Suzuki's new 'crosser to hit Aussie dealerships on September 21

The 2018 Suzuki RM-Z450 will go on sale in Australia in three weeks' time, when the first shipment of Suzuki's big-bore motocrosser gets rolled out in dealerships on September 21.

With a retail price of $11,490, the new bike boasts a redesigned engine which offers more bottom-end torque as well as a boost in peak power output. There's an all-new chassis complemented by an upgraded swingarm, which results in a weight saving of 800g over the outgoing model as well as a 10mm shorter wheelbase.

The new bike features uprated Showa suspension at both ends and a swathe of electronic improvements including changes to the fuel injection and engine management system, as well as employing the latest three-way adjustable holeshot assist system.
