Husqvarna has unveiled its 2018 TC and FC motocross machines, including an all-new TC 85 together with seven TC and FC models that receive less substantive updates.
Introducing much of the same technology found across Husqvarna’s range of full-size motocross machines, the TC 85 has a new engine, frame and WP suspension.
The key to the engine is a new power valve, which allows power delivery to be tailored simply and more effectively that before. There's also a lighter gearbox, new exhaust, new clutch and 50mm shorter silencer.
The updated two-stroke engine is housed inside a Cro-Mo steel frame that features revised geometry, increased torsional rigidity and less longitudinal stiffness.
The TC 85 has WP AER 43 split air and oil forks, together with a new WP XPlor PDS shock. Adjustment in the forks is made simpler thanks to a single air pressure valve for preload and easy access clickers for compression and rebound.
No 'dirt' footpegs, a revised throttle assembly, new radiators, an easy access air filter, Formula brakes and wave discs and new bodywork complete the updated TC 85 for 2018.
The TC 85 is joined by the TC 50 and TC 65 in the Husqvarna 'minicycle' range, and the full-size brigade is made up from the TC 125, TC 250, FC 250, FC 350 and FC 450.
Husqvarna has focussed its intentions on engine and chassis advances for the full-sized TC and FC models, including new Magura brake calipers to "offer the best in terms of sensitivity and feeling", new graphics to "highlight Husqvarna’s Swedish heritage", and an extra grip seat cover. The four-strokes also get a new Li-Ion battery.
The 2018 motocross range will be available globally from June 2017. Contact your local Husqvarna dealer for more information.
