It's new model scooter season at Honda, with the announcement of the 2019 PCX150 now followed by details on the latest version of the NSS300 Forza.
The biggest update for the $7999 (plus on-road costs) Forza is the fitment of Honda’s selectable torque control – the first time on a scooter from the Japanese company. The system is found on other Honda models like the Africa Twin adventure bike, but obviously with wildly different algorithms running the show.

HSTC can be switched on and off from the left handlebar and detects any difference between the front and rear wheel speeds, calculates the slip ratio and then controls engine torque via the fuel injection to regain rear wheel traction.
A redesigned chassis is a major part of the Forza’s massive 8kg weight loss, which also helps to boost acceleration, top speed and fuel efficiency from the 279cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected SOHC engine.

There’s revised instrumentation, a new electric screen, a ‘smart’ key, LED lighting, a larger rear wheel and the Forza now has two-channel ABS.
Two full-face helmets can be stored under the seat and the front left inner fairing pocket is lockable and houses a 12-volt charging socket.
