Gas Gas Australia is now starting deliveries of the two-stroke EC 250 and XC 250 enduro range.
In the same vein as the 300cc line-up, the bikes boast a range of upgrades including a new chrome-moly frame, modified geometry and KYB suspension.
Other componentry is derived from Magura (clutch), FMF (exhaust), VForce4 (reed valves), Excel (rims), NG (discs) and Nissin (brakes).
The six-speed 249cc engine now produces a vast improvement in power and torque, thanks to changes to the cylinder, cylinder head, crankshaft and exhaust. The powerplant is fed by a 38mm Keihin carburetor.
The EC (enduro cross) model is road-registerable, while the XC (cross country) has a pure off-road stance – suitable for recreational registration, competition or private use only.
The XC 250 retails for $11,490 in Australia ($13,299 in New Zealand), and the EC 250 is $11,790 ($NZ13,599).
Meanwhile standby for an imminent announcement of a 200cc Gas Gas range as well.
