2017 York Motorcycle Festival

No Perth show this year, but West Aussie motorcycle enthusiasts won't be missing out

With The Perth Motorcycle & Scooter Show not back on the WA calendar until 2018, the York Motorcycle Festival will take centre stage in 2017 when it's held on Sunday, April 23.

York, located 100km east of Perth, will come alive with plenty of activities: the launch of Avon Valley Tourism’s new “Motorcycle Friendly Town” initiative; an opportunity to test ride new bikes; a free family concert on Saturday night from 6:00-10:30pm starring WA band End of Fashion; freestyle motocross demonstrations with Dave McKenna; children's quad bike rides; a show & shine competition; a charity ride; kids' minikhana; and the launch of WA Motorcycle Safety Week which runs from April 23-29.

A new feature in 2017 will be the Vintage Collective Markets, featuring vintage, up-cycled,
remade, reclaimed, recycled and vintage-style wares or services.

The festival is held in the main street of York, Avon Terrace, which will be closed to traffic for the one-day festival. Exhibitors will be set up along the street displaying a range of products and services.

Admission is free.
