Moto Guzzi's third-generation V7s are now on sale in Australia, complete with a 10 per cent hike in power from the updated 744cc transversal V-twin engine. And there's also a 50-year anniversary edition, as well.
The V7III, Guzzi's self-proclaimed entry-level model, will continue to be available in three separate iterations: Stone, Special and Racer.

And to pay homage to 50 years since the first V7 was released, Moto Guzzi is introducing a fourth version in 2017: the Anniversario, a numbered edition limited to just 750 units, characterised by brand new and exclusive details. Only 20 units will be making their way to Australia.
The V7III has the same double cradle steel frame as the predecessor, as well the same weight distribution (46 per cent front, 54 rear), but the front part has been completely revamped and reinforced. The steering geometry has also been steepened, while the preload-adjustable Kayaba shocks are new.

The passenger footpegs are also mounted lower and more forward, and the saddle is now lower at 770mm.
Maximum power is now 52hp (38kW) at 6200rpm from the four-valve air-cooled engine, and torque is 60Nm at 4900rpm. Electronics include ABS and switchable traction control.
Accessories include satin finish aluminium side fairings, injector covers, luggage racks, leather and touring side panniers, and aluminium brake and clutch levers, and a smartphone-enabled multimedia platform.

Prices are $12,990 for the Stone (the same as 2016), $13,990 for the Special (a $200 rise) and $16,490 for the Racer (a $200 rise). The Anniversario retails for $16,990.
