BRP has unveiled a new four-person Maverick X3 MAX side-by-side vehicle, which features the same design, handling and power characteristics as the two-seat Maverick X3 which Bikesales drove in Mexico last year.
The Can-Am Maverick X3 MAX family offers three separate models, the same as the two-wheel package: the Maverick X3 MAX, Maverick X3 MAX X ds and top-spec Maverick X3 MAX X rs.
All four seats in the Maverick X3 MAX range are adjustable, and BRP claims up to 18 per cent more seat pitch than the closest industry competitor for legroom.

There's "Trophy truck-inspired" four-link TTX rear suspension and recalibrated FOX shocks supplying up to 559mm of rear travel in the case of the X3 MAX X rs. Front arched A-arms provide up to 356mm of ground clearance, while a full skid plate protects the underside of the vehicle. The MAX has a high-rigidity steel chassis.
The Maverick X3 MAX has a 3429mm wheelbase, and there's power steering, selectable driving modes and 262mm front disc brakes.
The MAX side-by-side vehicle’s is powered by the 154hp turbocharged and intercooled inline triple-cylinder Rotax ACE engine.
“The 2017 Can-Am Maverick X3 MAX side-by-side vehicle builds upon the industry-altering advancements achieved with the two-seat Maverick X3 unveiled last year by delivering new levels of performance, handling and passenger comfort to the four-seat segment of the market,” explained Anne-Marie LaBerge, senior vice president, Global Brands, Marketing and Communications at BRP.
“It positions Can-Am to meet market demands for a clear leader in the four-person sport segment and adheres to our forward-thinking approach when it comes to innovation, design and refining the consumer experience.”
The Maverick X3 MAXs will go on sale around the middle of 2017, with pricing still to be announced.
