Just a couple of months after the RnineT Pure and RnineT were announced, BMW's enlarged the RnineT family yet again with the RnineT Urban G/S, which "draws on the genes of the very first and legendary BMW R 80 G/S of the year 1980".
Like the standard RnineT, the Urban G/S, which made its debut at EICMA, has a conventional telescopic fork at the front combined with BMW Paralever at the rear. It has cast wheels, a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear.
The boxer can be ordered ex-works with off-road tyres and wired-spoke wheels. Stability control is also an option from the factory.
Anti-lock braking is standard, and the livery echoes BMW Motorsport from past years: Lightwhite non-metallic combined with fuel tank decor in two blue tones with a bright red seat.
Meanwhile, the updated RnineT now has 17-inch wire-spoked wheels as standard, and now has a fully adjustable upside-down fork.
Both machines are powered by the 1170cc boxer engine with an output of 110hp (81kW) and 116Nm.
No word on availability of both bikes yet.
