BMW Motorrad has announced a slew of updated and new models over recent months, and here are a few more – minor revisions to the K 1600 GTL six-cylinder luxury tourer and the F 800 R and F 800 GT parallel twins.
The highlights of the 2017 K 1600 GTL include:
Standard equipment includes anti-lock braking, traction control, a xenon headlamp, grip and seat heating, a multi-controller, three riding modes and cruise control etc. Options include an adaptive turning light, daytime riding lights, keyless ride, hill start control, central locking and forged wheels.
As for the F 800s, they also meet Euro 4 regulations, complete with ride-by-wire throttles. The riding modes Rain and Road are standard, and the Dynamic riding mode is an ex-works option.
The instrument panel is new, and the new liveries are as follows: F 800 R – Racing Red non-metallic, Blackstorm metallic, BMW Motorsport (Lightwhite non-metallic/Lupine Blue metallic/Racing Red non-metallic), and F 800 GT – Gravity Blue metallic matt, Lightwhite non-metallic, Blackstorm metallic.
New ex-works options such as higher handlebars (F 800 R) and "Design Option" wheels (F 800 R) are also available.
The 798cc parallel twins in the F 800 R and F 800 GT produce 90hp (66kW) at 8000rpm. The sportier F 800 R has chain drive, while the F 800 GT offers a maintenance-free toothed belt.
No word yet on price or availability for the three models.
