Victory Motorcycles has chimed in with its first 2016 model – the Magnum X-1, an extension of the Magnum bagger theme but only this time with a major focus on "pushing the sound barrier".
The claim isn't a hollow one, with the X-1 possessing 10 speakers blasting out 200 watts. According to the Polaris-owned that's four times louder than the Cross Country and twice as animated as the standard Magnum (review on that bike coming soon).

Further departure points from the Magnum are the new aluminium wheels machined from single blocks of billet, which are stronger and lighter. The front wheel is a 21-incher and the rear 16, retaining the same dimensions and Dunlop rubber as the Magnum.
The smoke-tinted LED headlight on the X-1 is claimed to be 74 per cent brighter than the Cross Country's, and further exclusivity lies in the livery, with 'electric red' striping and platinum highlights' on a black gloss base.
The engine continues as Victory's 1731cc Freedom V-twin, mated to a six-speed overdrive. Anti-lock braking is standard. Dry weight is 345kg, sweat height is 653mm, and fuel capacity is 22 litres.
The Magnum X-1 has already gone on sale in America with a $2500 premium over the Magnum, while Victory Australia says it's "interested and will share more details as they come to hand".
