Husqvarna's 2016 two- and four-stroke range of enduro bikes has been unveiled, all the way from the 104kg TE125 through to the big-bore 113kg FE510. Other bikes in the seven-model range are the TE250 and TE300 two-strokes, and the FE250, FE350 and FE450 four-strokes catering "for the needs of both competitive racers and weekend trail warriors".
Universal updates include a new and lighter 22mm front axle, replacing the previous 26mm unit for improved stability and front-end feel; the black CNC-machined triple clamps now have a 22mm offset and allow for four handlebar positions to suit the needs of a wide variety of riders; the 4CS fork—now in its fourth year of production—has been further developed to improve damping, handling, plushness and rider comfort; and the Dual Compression Control (DCC) rear link WP suspension has a revised setup.
An updated six-speed gearbox has also been fitted, while for 2016 the FE450 and FE 501 clutch baskets are 80 grams lighter.
Modifications to the lubrication system on the FE250 and FE350 improve lubrication in extreme conditions, while also helping to prevent damage against excessive oil fill-up.
Further developments for 2016 see new fork protectors, a standard ignition map switch, GFK disc brakes front and rear, lighter spokes with a weight saving of 100g, a "sporty looking" blue anodised Supersprox rear sprocket, new seat cover and new colours and graphics.
