Yamaha's 2015 Yamaha WR250F is heavily based on the championship-winning YZ250F motocross model. It features the latest rearward-slanted, fuel injected, 249cc, DOHC four-stroke engine with four titanium valves, electric start and a six-speed transmission.
The chassis includes a bilateral beam frame, KYB suspension and an 18-inch rear wheel.
The street-legal WR250F comes with a headlight, taillight, skid plate, electric radiator fan and an 'enduro' computer, which has a speedo, odometer, average speed, clock and more. There's also a 5.7-litre fuel tank.
An optional GYTR Power Tuner lets owners adjust air/fuel mixture and ignition timing maps to match engine performance characteristics to the rider and race conditions in a matter of seconds with the push of a few buttons.
The 2015 WR250F will go on sale before the end of the year, but we're still awaiting a price.
Bikesales has just returned from the local media launch of the machine, so standby for a full launch report next week.
