Sherco Australia has announced the 450SEF-R Factory is finally on its way Down Under, and will be available in dealerships from July 27, 2015 for $14,290.
The enduro bike features the company's 449.4cc DOHC, four-valve, four-stroke engine fed by Synerject digital electronic fuel injection. There is tool-less air filter access as well as Brembo brakes, dual-position billet triple clamps and reversible, offset handlebar mounts.
The handlebar-mounted dual-curve ignition map switch offers two engine power output options that can be changed on-the-fly, and the engine is housed in a semi-perimeter chromium molybdenum steel frame mated to 48mm open-chamber upside-down WP forks and a WP linkage shock.
Finally, the Factory also has a full Akrapovic exhaust system with revised mapping to suit, a DG2 double-grip seat, translucent fuel tank, solid rear brake disc, bash plate and factory graphics. Dry weight is 109kg.
Sherco Australia Brand Manager Stephen Tuff says the new 450 won’t disappoint.
“The Factory edition isn’t just another 450. The turning ability and agility of the bike will make it the envy of its competitors," said Sherco Australia Brand Manager, Stephen Tuff. “We’re taking our new 450 to every Sherco ride day we have planned around the country, so if you’re curious, then make some time to get along to the ride day and give it a go.
Bikesales has already tested the base model 450SEF-R, which retails for $13,290. Read that review HERE.
