2015 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800

Plus there’s the Turismo Veloce Lusso, which comes with electronically controlled suspension

It’s certainly a mouthful – the 2015 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800. But its intent is simple -- sportstouring, as the Varese-based company continues to extract even more mileage from the original Brutale 798cc triple platform.

The new bike is available in two platforms: the standard machine plus the Turismo Veloce 800 Russo which has electronically adjustable Sachs suspension.

Both bikes have four separate engine maps, with ‘Sport’ unleashing the full 110hp. The triple engine also produces 84Nm at 8600rpm, and comes with a slipper clutch and can accommodate clutchless upshifts and downshifts. One of the four engine maps is customisable with all sorts of variables, including engine response, rev limiter kick in, engine braking and traction control.

There’s a GPS navigator, cruise control, heated grips, Bluetooth connectivity, 60-litre panniers, and the fuel tank is 20 litres. The dry weight is 207kg, and the seat height is 870mm.

The colours are:

  • Turismo Veloce 800: Red/Silver and Silver/Aviation Grey
  • Turismo Veloce 800 Lusso: Red/Silver and Pearl White/Aviation Grey

Bikesales will be riding the two models in Europe in mid-April, and they will go on sale locally in June. Price is still to be announced.
