Varese-based manufacturer MV Agusta has been active in the lead-up to the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, launching the Dragster RR last week and now this: – a limited-edition ‘customer’ F4 RR for those privateers who want to compete in the Superbike World Championship.
We don’t have the full specs, but the attached image does mention 175kg (dry) and 210hp, so based on those absolute figures and also power-to-weight ratios the F4RR SBK certainly won’t be a timid beast – on paper that’s better than the 2015 model S 1000 RR.
Compared to the current F4RR, the SBK has nine more horsepower, and reduces carriage by eight per cent, with the increased oomph down to a new cylinder head, crankshaft and camshaft. There are also lighter pistons and conrods.
In 2015, the Superbike World Championship will be adopting more production-focussed Evo rules across the board, which has opened the door for manufacturers like MV to get a look in with bikes like the F4RR SBK, which will also be available with a racing kit.
The F4 SBK will be launched in Milan on November 4.
We’re endeavouring to find out whether the F4RR SBK will be coming to Australia.
