Tabcorp Park in Melton is the new venue for the annual Salvation Army-supported Melbourne Toy Run, with this year's event to be held on Sunday, December 20.
According to the Victorian Motorcycle Council, the new location — it has been held at Calder Park Raceway over the last few years — will allow the Toy Run to grow, with a view to it ultimately becoming a state-level event.
Rob Salvatore, Victorian Motorcycle Council Chair, said: “This welcomed partnership with Tabcorp Park ensures a bright future for the Toy Run and for the all-important charitable tradition at its heart. Riders have a rich history of giving at Christmas time and this partnership only encourages that legacy to grow.”
This year's Toy Run — the 38th consecutive running — will again partner with the classic and hot rod car clubs and will feature car and bike displays, show and shine competitions, a large variety of trade stalls, freestyle motocross shows, food and entertainment. The event will run from 10:00am until 4:00pm.
