2015 Kawasaki Z250SL

Yet another LAMS addition for Kawasaki, this time the single-cylinder Z250SL. We’ll be seeing it in the first quarter of 2015
Kawasaki has gone ‘LAMS crazy’, unveiling yet another entry-level machine in the form of the Z250SL.
Just a few days ago we announced the imminent arrival of the twin-cylinder Z300, and now the Z250SL will be joining it -- but instead with a single-cylinder engine that  pumps out 27.6hp (20.6kW/28ps) at 9700rpm and 22.6Nm at 8200rpm.
The engine is a tweaked version of the mill found in the KLX250 dual purpose machine, and there’s an all-new trellis frame, 37mm forks and a five-way preload-adjustable Uni-Trak shock.
The wheels are similar to those on the fully faired Ninja 250SL, and the tyre sizes are 100/80-17 and 130/70-17.
There’s a back-lit LCD instrument console, with features includng a bar-graph tachometer, speedometer, odometer, dual trip meters, clock, and fuel gauge.
Weight is 148kg for the non-ABS model, and 149kg for the ABS model.
The Z250SL, which will be up against bikes like the Suzuki Inazuma and KTM 200 Duke, goes on sale in March 2015 for $5299 (non ABS) and $5599 (ABS).
