The 2015 model KX450F motocross scalpel has now gone on sale nationally for $10,999, with the smaller capacity KX250F to follow shortly at $9999 – prices that are $1K below the comparable 2014 tackle.
The K450F’s upgrades include new Showa SFF-Air TAC (Triple Air Chamber) front forks, revised discs including a new semi-floating over-size 270mm front, revised ECU settings and a different piston crown for increased compression. A high-pressure air pump to make quick and simple adjustments to the new SFF-Air TAC forks is available from Kawasaki dealerships for $99.
The 2015 KX250F has received updates to its ergonomics (four-position adjustable handlebars and two-position adjustable footpegs), while the fuel injector has been revised for increased low to mid-range power. It also has a new piston, and updated discs like the KX450F.
Other changes universal to the KX-F family include new lightweight axles and lighter sub-frames, new green ‘highlights, and titanium-coated forks that look like they've come straight off American Ryan Villopoto's AMA supercross-winning KX450F.
