2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000

A website has been launched ahead of the bike's release, featuring information on the history of the V-Strom as well as design sketches on the concept model

Suzuki has launched a brand new website dedicated to the V-Strom 1000, ahead of the all-new adventure bike's arrival in 2014. The address is www.suzuki-vstrom.com.

The V-Strom 1000, which is tipped to come with traction control, integrated luggage, top-notch brakes and suspension, and an aluminium chassis, was first unveiled at Intermot in Cologne last year. The model "takes design inspiration from the DR Big series".

The new website charts the history of the iconic Dakar DR racer and subsequent V-Strom models, as well as featuring design sketches and information on the current concept model.

In the coming months, the site will be further updated with more information on the forthcoming production model, as well as video features and interviews with key designers and engineers who have been involved with the project.

Suzuki Australia is yet to announce when the new V-Strom 1000 will make it down under.
