Kawasaki Australia is throwing some more muscle into what it calls the recreation utility arena, with an up-spec Limited Edition (LE) version of its 783cc V-twin Teryx to go on sale in December, 2013. Price is still to be announced.
There are a number of tiers to the Teryx range, with the LE sitting near the top with all the features of the standard model, but then adding electronic power steering, coloured door panels, over fenders, three-tone seats, LED headlamps, cast aluminium wheels, brush guard and sun top.
The fuel-injected Teryx LE has Dual A-arm suspension with 190mm travel, twin-piston front brakes, 295mm ground clearance, and the wet weight is around 630kg.
The Teryx LE is on display at the 2013 Sydney Motorcycle & Scooter Show, which continues until Sunday, November 17.
Continuing the side-by-side theme in Sydney, Arctic Cat unveiled a CAMS-approved version of its 95hp Wildcat 1000X sports machine, which will contest the 2014 Finke Desert Race – and it’s be great to see it take on the other sports giants: the Can-Am Maverick 1000 and Polaris RZR 1000 XP.
