2014 Kawasaki KLR650 New Edition

Australia's biggest selling – but undeniably ageing -- adventure bike has been given a mild mid-year update with revised suspension and redesigned seat

Kawasaki’s venerable KLR650 adventure bike has been given a mild makeover, with updates to the suspension and seat. Price is $8099 plus on-road costs, a $100 increase on the superseded model.

To “better accommodate on-road riding and heavier loads”, changes to the 41mm telescopic fork include stiffer springs at both ends, as well as revised damping settings.

The redesigned seat is slimmer at the front (between the rider’s thighs) and about 30mm wider at the rear (at the rider’s derrière), for what Kawasaki claims is more comfort on longer rides. The rear of the seat now sits flush with the rear rack.

The 2014 KLR650 New Edition is available now at Kawasaki dealerships in either candy lime Green with ebony or metallic raw graystone with ebony. Contact your local Kawasaki dealer for more information.
