2014 Honda CBR1000RR SP

Honda's venerable one-litre sportsbike is getting long in the tooth, but the company is eking out even more in 2014 with a special sharpened version

Honda will be selling a more track-focussed version of the CBR1000RR in 2014 – the CBR1000RR SP.

The new machine goes to the heart of what makes bikes cover ground with more haste – it’s lighter and faster than the CBR1000RR.

The SP has more power thanks to new cylinder head, intake tract and exhaust system, while there’s a new subframe and windscreen. The SP has fully adjustable Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SC tyres, and new handlebars and footpegs make for a more aggressive riding position.

It will only come in a tri-colour, as per the attached images.

Due to reach Australian shores in strictly limited numbers in the first quarter of 2014, details regarding exact arrival date, how to order, and the price of the new CBR1000RR SP will follow in the coming months.
