Harley-Davidson enthusiasts from across Australia will hit Cairns (Qld) en masse to take part in the annual Australian Harley Owners Group (H.O.G) Rally from May 2-4.
This year’s event will see over 1000 riders take part, on some of the best motorcycling terrain Australia has on offer.
Marketing Director for Harley-Davidson Australia, Adam Wright said: “As always, we have a jam-packed schedule in store with major entertainment highlights, but in terms of scenery the 2014 H.O.G Rally will be unsurpassed.
“Participants can look forward to riding through fields of cane sugar, rainforests, hillsides and some incredible coastlines.
“This year, the ride will have even more significance as we travel through areas recently affected by the cyclones. We hope the H.O.G Rally will bring welcome trade to local communities that have suffered during this time.”
Organisers are encouraging locals catch all the sights and sounds of the Sunday Thunder Run, as hundreds of riders roll through Cairns’ town centre and finish on the esplanade at 11:00am.
The rally will feature a special performance from soul singer, Lisa Hunt, on May 2. In addition, stunt rider Matt Mingay will provide daily entertainment, and other highlights for attendees will include guided rides, bike games, the Harley-Davidson Jumpstart Rider Experience -- simulator for non-riders -- 2014 model year demo and display bikes, the dyno drag simulator -- and even piglet racing.
