2014 CFMoto 650NKS
A lower-spec version of the 650NK, and one that will retail for $1300 less at $5990CFMoto Australia has unveiled the 650NKS, a naked based on the current 650NK but with lower-spec brakes as well as different tyres and a mildly revised dash. The 650NKS will retail for $5990 as opposed to the 650NK's $7290 price tag. It's called a limited-edition as well, which goes against standard practice of making such bikes higher-spec, not lower...
Both the 650NKS and 650NK are LAMS approved, pumping out 56hp (41.5kW) and 62Nm. There are 38mm throttle bodies, with single injectors per cylinder. The engine is used as a fully stressed member off the tubular steel diamond frame, and has a single gear-driven counter-balancer to manage the vibes.
“Since we launched our first 650cc naked just over two years ago, we've gone from strength to strength with this model and sold more than 1000 across the country,” said CFMoto director Michael Poynton. “Riding on the NK's success, we wanted to release a limited-edition model for the more budget-conscious customer offering even greater value for money.”
The front fork is a conventional 41mm design, and the rear is a cantilever monoshock, with 120 and 45mm of travel respectively. The 650NKS tracks on 120/70-17 and 160/60-17 rubber.
The 2014 650NKS also has vertically stacked headlights, and LED blinkers are built into the front shrouds. The brake light is also LED.
