After a period of uncertainty, Motorcycling Australia has confirmed the Australian Supercross Championship will continue in 2014, and will be held in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland in a mix of outdoor and indoor stadia.
The calendar is as follows:
The Bathurst rounds will be held in conjunction with the Bathurst1000 V8 Supercar race, and the Phillip Island double-header alongside MotoGP action. The championship then heads indoors for the Brisbane finale.
The championship will be promoted by Full Throttle Sports. The supplementary regulations will be released next week. For more information visit https://australiansupercross.com.au.
The uncertainty over the calendar and concerns about the current state of supercross in Australia has already forced Yamaha's hand, with the company recently announcing that its three supported teams won't be taking part in proceedings this year.
