Motorcycling Australia has announced details of the prizemoney to be dished out over the course of the 2014 Australian Superbike Championship, with a total of $56,000 to be awarded over the title's five rounds.
The national body for motorcycle sport in this country also confirmed it would be taking an active role in the administration of the 2014 championship, partnering with ASBK promoter, IEG, with MA’s Chief Executive Officer, David White, announcing MA will be handling the prompt payment of prizemoney.
“We will pay the prizemoney direct to the riders within seven days of the conclusion of each round, either by cheque or direct deposit,” he said.
Prizemoney for the 2014 Australian Superbike Championship, which gets underway over April 4 and 5 at Queensland Raceway, is as follows:

In related news, Australian Pirelli distributor Link International has announced the Italian brand will be supplying the control tyre for the 2014 Australian Superbike Championship.
Two compound choices in both front and rear tyres will be available in the Superbike and Supersport classes, with a set costing $519 and $489 for each class respectively.
Link/Pirelli is also providing over $30,000 in tyre contingencies, which will be allocated at each round as follows:
