2013 Yamaha YZF-R15

Based on the current model but with an extensive revamp, which includes a reconfigured ECU, bigger tyre footprint, LED tail lights and five-spoke cast wheels

Yamaha has released an updated version of the YZF-R15 sports commuter, and new features include:

  • A reconfigured ECU for better drive, economy and emissions
  • Wider front and rear tyres: 90/80-17 front and 130/70-17 rear
  • LED tail lights
  • Tail piece with a storage compartment and twin seat
  • Link-type rear suspension operates more efficiently and delivers more responsive handling qualities.
  • Five-spoke cast wheels, silencer, dual horns, and the rear disc is now a larger 220mm

Yamaha claims an average fuel consumption of around 45km/litre from the 150cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, which is slotted into a Deltabox chassis.

The 2013 YZF-R15 comes in three colours: Racing Red, Yamaha Blue or Midnight Black, and will retail for $4299. Meanwhile, the current model is available at the special promotional price of $3999 ride away. Contact your local Yamaha dealer for more information.
