2013 Yamaha XJ6NL

The learner-approved naked version of the FZ6R, with a claimed 40 per cent more power, four new colour schemes -- and $200 cheaper than the 2012 model
Yamaha Motor Australia has unveiled its 2013 model XJ6NL, with the key selling point its huge increase in peak horsepower -- now 47.6hp at 10,000rpm.
Price is $9799, and $9999 for the SP Edition Matt Grey.
Visually, there are also redesigned side panels, which “feature a more integrated shape that flow seamlessly into the sculpted fuel tank”. The XJ6NL is also fitted with a newly-designed headlight cowl, and other small changes include the adoption of a two-piece passenger grab rail, new LED backlighting and increased levels of contrast on the instrument panel, and clear turn signal lenses.
The seat and handlebars are both adjustable, and for those with a penchant for numbers the rake, trail and wheelbase are 26 degrees, 103mm and 1440mm respectively. The fuel capacity is 17 litres.
Accessories include an aluminium rear carrier, centrestand, engine guard; tank bag; roller protectors, tank pad, 46-litre top case and back rest for top box.
The four new colour schemes are Competition White, Race Blu, Midnight Black, or Matt Grey (SP). The SP also has a dual seat and a carbonised ‘6’ graphic.
