2013 TGB Blade 550 AR IRS 4x4

An ATV that's being billed as the first ‘Crossover' in the market, complete with a 200kg rated tray back

TGB has released its Blade 550 AR IRS 4x4 ATV, which is based on the Blade 550 IRS 4x4 but with a tray back as the major point of differentiation.

The tray is measured at 1200 x 900 x 280mm (L x W x H) and has a 200kg carrying capacity -- including gas-assisted lift.

There’s a liquid-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine with 503cc displacement (producing 37hp and 43.9NM), which works alongside the CVT transmission with high/low range, neutral and reverse. There’s on-demand electronic differential lock and a 2WD/4WD mode selector, which provides full steering control throughout the mode selection process.

The 550 AR features IRS, a fully independent multi-link rear suspension with spring preload adjustment. The tyres are 12-inch.

Protection-wise, there’s a front bar link mounted to the standard heavy duty front rack for enhanced impact resistance, drive train protection guards including, constant velocity joint protection for extreme conditions and heavy-duty tyres.

These features are complemented by a tow bar with a towing capacity of 500kg and a 1360kg winch with handlebar control. Price is $9395.
