Hot on the heels of its new middleweight BN600 naked bike comes the Benelli Uno C 250, set to become one of the Italian marques' most affordable - and potentially top selling - motorcycles.
Unveiled ahead of its EICMA public debut in Italy, the Benelli Uno C 250 is powered by a 25hp (18kW) single-cylinder four-stroke engine supplied by Benelli's Chinese parent company, Qianjiang.
The learner-legal motorcycle is fitted with a single front disc brake and upside-down forks and has clearly been built to a budget, which will help spread the Benelli word to areas of the market that it has traditionally avoided.
There are clear Chinese influences in the design, but with enough of Italian DNA to ensure it retains some style.
The Benelli Uno C 250 has been given a mid-2013 release date for Europe.
