The next instalment of the Tokyo Motorcycle Show will be held from March 23-25, 2012.
Last year’s event, scheduled to open on March 25, was cancelled after rolling blackouts, transport turmoil and the devastation wrought on the country by the earthquake and tsunami gave organisers with only one real option.
The Tokyo Motorcycle Show has always been one of the blue-chip motorcycle exhibitions, alongside Milan and Cologne.
And after a two-year break between shows, the anticipation will be massive when the 2012 instalment kicks off in just a few weeks, especially from the Japanese manufacturers which have all been dealt a cruel hand by the earthquake – on top of already sluggish domestic and international economies.
As well as a slew of new models, the Tokyo expo is also likely to dish up its regular array of concept bikes, the type of which occasionally make it into volume production. One of the more popular concept bikes that followed this path was the Suzuki B-King, first seen in Tokyo in 2001.
And you can read about it all here first, as the Bikesales Network will be attending the 2012 Tokyo Motorcycle Show and reporting back daily via news stories, Twitter and Facebook.
