2012 Snowy Ride: VFR1200X up for grabs

One lucky Snowy Ride participant will get more than they bargained for this November, when they win a new Honda Crosstourer

This year’s Snowy Ride – an annual charity motorcycle ride through the Snowy Mountains that raises money for the Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation – will be held over November 2-3, and one lucky participant will be heading home with a lot more than just great memories.

Main event sponsor Honda Australia has stumped up a brand new VFR1200X Crosstourer, which one fortunate rider will win once the Snowy Ride has drawn to a close at 4pm in the NSW ski town of Thredbo – just for taking part!

Over 3000 riders plus many more pillions and spectators will take part in the Snowy Ride, which was first held in 2001 at the request of Steven Walter, a young motorcycle lover who eventually lost his fight with cancer. Since then the event has grown into a fundraising powerhouse, as riders flock to some of the nation's best roads, generating much needed funds to fight cancer in the process.
