Sydney-based riders can set aside October 14 in their diaries for this year's Pink Ribbon Ride, an annual charity ride that raises vital funds to aid the hunt for a cure for breast cancer.
Sponsored by Harley-Davidson Australia and hosted by The Mean Fiddler Hotel in Rouse Hill in Sydney's north-western suburbs, the day will see registration open at 9.00am, with the winners of the 'best dressed' bike and scooter awards being announced at 10.00am.
The group ride departs soon after, with trivia questions to be answered at various checkpoints before returning to The Mean Fiddler.
Lunch is available at the hotel and the winners of the various prizes on offer will be announced at 1.00pm. Prizes are up for grabs for the sponsored rider lucky draw, the trivia quest winners; the lucky number plate draw, the best-dressed bike and scooter, the early registration lucky draw, and the best club attendance.
Entry is just $20 per rider and $10 per pillion, with a badge on offer for the first 500 registrations. Participants can also be sponsored by family and friends, to see even more cash go to the worthy cause -- in this case the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute.
The day will go ahead rain, hail or shine, and will draw to a close at 2.15pm. Over 1000 bikes and scooters made the 2011 Pink Ribbon Ride, so make sure you're there to enjoy a top day out and do your bit for the fight against this deadly disease.
