2012 Melbourne bike expo: November 23-25

The organiser of the 2012 Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne says the event will host a record number of over 135 exhibitors, including all the 'majors'

The 2012 Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne is shaping up to be a bumper affair, with 75 per cent of the available exhibitor sites sold within weeks of the expo's floorplan becoming available.

All the major motorcycle distributors have signed up, too, including the likes of Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Triumph, BMW Motorrad, Piaggio, Husqvarna, Harley-Davidson, Victory, KTM, Ducati, BRP, Aprilia, Hyosung and Moto Guzzi, so new bike buyers and window shoppers alike are set to feast on a wide and varied smorgasbord of delectable new motorcycle models.
Slated for November 23-25 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, the 2012 Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne is set to host no fewer than 135 exhibitors -- a record number for a show of this type, says the organiser.
According to Event Manager Mark Petersen, the industry response is a very positive sign. "For site sales to hit 75 per cent at this stage is a great achievement," he said. "It shows that the industry is well and truly behind the event, which is set to be the biggest we have ever staged," he added.
"Behind the Phillip Island MotoGP and World Superbike weekends, this event is the third largest on the Australian motorcycle calendar, and it offers a great chance for the industry to reach an enthusiastic public. A large range of accessories, aftermarket products and service suppliers have also signed on, adding to the variety and choice,” he said.
Any prospective exhibitors who wish to snap a site up should email mpetersen@etf.com.au or call or (07) 5508 7304.
