2012 Husqvarna Concept Strada

Another motorcycle to join the recently introduced Nuda, this one powered by the single-cylinder powerplant found in the BMW G 650 GS
Husqvarna’s pitch towards “youthful on-road motorcyclists” has just moved up another gear, with the Concept Strada unveiled at the Salon de la Moto show in Paris on November 29.
The Concept Strada (Italian for ‘street’) has a similar angular look as the recently introduced Nuda 990 R – read our international launch report here – but with a littler bit more muscle – amplified by the chunkier, big-block adventure-type tyres.
Power is supplied from BMW’s G 650 GS single-cylinder powerplant, but it has been "breathed on" by Husqvarna engineers for even more clout – a similar exercise to the Nuda, which used BMWs 800cc parallel twin as the donor powerplant before adding some more pepper.
Weight is around 170kg dry.
The Concept Strada is already in the advanced stage of planning and production, and the bike will go on sale in 2012.
