2012 BMW off-road training courses
Eight two-day courses all up, including a visit to Western Australia for the first time and a return to Queensland. The courses are open to riders of all levelsBMW Motorrad Australia has announced details of its 2012 off-road training courses, with the highlights including a first-time visit to Western Australia and a return to Queensland.
Details are as follows:
Course dates
- WA -- Kirup: October 5-6 and 7-8
- NSW -- Sydney, Dargle Valley, October 19-20 and 21-22
- Qld -- Conondale, Green Park, November 16-17 and 18-19
- Vic -- Broadford, November 23-24 and 25-26
The courses are specifically designed for BMW GS riders of all levels. Some of the skills covered during the two-day courses are:
- How to lift, balance and manoeuvre a motorcycle in awkward situations;
- Slow-speed manoeuvring and control;
- Correct body position/balance;
- Throttle and clutch control;
- Cornering;
- Braking;
- Ascending and descending hills safely and confidently; and
- Riding over/around obstacles.
All courses are conducted by BMW Motorrad's Authorised Training Partner, Stay Upright Pty Ltd, which is well known as one of Australia's best motorcycle training providers.
