2012 Australian Speedway Championship

The eight seeded riders have been announced, while the balance of the field will be determined through a qualifying meeting
Defending champion Chris Holder headlines the 16-rider field for the 2012 Australian Solo Speedway Championship, which begins in North Brisbane on January 7.
Holder, quite rightly, is one of the eight seeded riders for the three-round championship, and will strut his stuff alongside Kozza Smith, Justin Sedgmen, Robert Ksiezak, Taylor Poole, Troy Batchelor, David Watt, Cameron Woodward and Cory Gathercole.
The balance of the field will have to win through at a qualifying event on January 6, where 16 riders will be culled to eight.
Those contesting the qualifying meeting will be:
  • Jake Anderson
  • Tom Armstrong
  • Ryan Douglas
  • Harley Horwood
  • James Holder
  • Mason Campton
  • Joey Ringwood
  • Brenton Barnfield
  • Jason Stewart
  • Todd Kurtz
  • Tyson Snow
  • Daine Stevens
  • Nicholas Rowe
  • Tyson Nelson
  • Sam Masters
  • Rohan Tungate

Rounds two and three of the championship will be held at Kurri Kurri (NSW) on December 14, and Gillman (SA) on January 21.
