2012 Australian Motorcycle Expo: Nov 23-25

It's expo week, with all the major distributors in attendance, plenty of new bikes to check out, and entertainment for all the family

The 2012 Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne from November 23-25 is shaping up to be a bumper affair, with all the major motorcycle distributors on location, including Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Triumph, BMW Motorrad, Piaggio, Husqvarna, Harley-Davidson, Victory, KTM, Ducati, BRP, Aprilia, Hyosung and Moto Guzzi.

Some of the new models – many of which were only publicly unveiled at the EICMA in Milan last week –which will be displayed at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre include:

  • The Honda CBR500R and CB500F, along with the 2013 CBR600RR and three Special Edition CBR250Rs: a Repsol, Moriwaki and Mugen Edition
  • KTM 1190 Adventure and 1190 Adventure R, as well the company’s new-generation SX motocross models, 200 Duke and 350 Freeride
  • Triumph Trophy
  • Husqvarna TR 650 Terra and TR 650 Strada
  • Husaberg’s new TE two-stroke range
  • Moto Guzzi California 1400

Other highlights at the show will include:

  • Triumph Motorcycles’ stunt sensation Lukey Luke, the high-flying Monster Energy Kawasaki Showtime FMX Team and Flair Trials team will bring a unique mix of moves to the Action Arena in three daily shows
  • Appearances by three-time world superbike champion Troy Bayliss
  • The launch of a new high-performance range of electric bikes
  • An appearance by husband-and-wife duo Simon and Lisa Thomas, who set out from their home in Britain in May of 2003, and since then they’ve covered 382,000km through some 77 countries, with a further 45 nations still to be added to the tally!

Opening times
Friday November 23: 11am-8pm
Saturday November 24: 9am-6pm?
Sunday November 25: 9am-5pm

Tickets are available at the door or online at www.australianmotorcycleexpo.com.au. All online purchases go into the draw to win a family pass to the Phillip Island 2013 World Superbike event, valued at $300.
