We've got some tasty video of the penultimate Red Bull X Fighters freestyle motocross competition, arguably the premier FMX comp in the world.
Before the massive FMX event heads to Australia for the first time, in what will be the grand finale, the competition saw American rider Nate Adams take the cake in Poland, at the City Stadium in Poznan.
Adams managed to outclass all other riders in front of 35,000 spectators, which you can see in the video below, ahead of Spanish rider Dany Torres and an impressive run by Japan's Eigo Sato.
Much like what will be required for the Australian event at Cockatoo Island, the Polish event saw 440 truckloads of dirt carted into the stadium to create the canvas on which the FMX riders would create their art.
The Polish round of the Red Bull X-Fighters competition was home to some of the biggest jumps, with riders sailing up to 12 metres high and covering distances of up to 36 metres.
As Nate Adams explained, it caused a few heart-stopping moments: "The bike was under-rotating on the long jump and I Came down on the front wheel. But I'm really happy to beat Dany," he said after taking topo spot and potentially sealing the championship.
"I was not 100 per cent fit so I'm happy to get second place," said Dany Torres, no doubt keen to play a few mind games with Adams, who now sits 40 points ahead of him in the overall standings. "I'm going to train hard for the next six weeks and fight back in Australia," said the determined Spaniard.
Norway's Andre Villa was leading the championship coming into this round but broke his leg (femur) in qualifying when attempting a backflip. All three Australians in the comp, Robbie Maddison, Josh Sheehan and Blake Williams were also ruled out of competing due to injuries.
Blake Williams is currently sitting in fourth place in the standings, while Robbie Maddison is in sixth, and the Australian contingent of riders will be keen to put on a good show at the first ever Australian round of the FMX series in Sydney on September 17. Expect fireworks (figuratively and literally).
