Motorcycle enthusiasts from across Victoria and New South Wales will come together on Sunday, October 23 for the annual Pink Ribbon Motorcycle Ride.
Rides will be held in Melbourne and Sydney, with the former raising funds for the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA), and the latter the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute.
Dressed in every shade of pink under the rainbow, thousands of riders are expected to brighten up the streets of Melbourne aboard their motorcycles and scooters, giving hope to friends and family who are affected by breast cancer as they raise funds towards research into prevention and cure of the disease.
Harley-Davidson Australia is major sponsor of the event and is encouraging as many riders as possible to show their support by taking part in the ride.
“The Harley-Davidson family is a proud partner of this wonderful community initiative, which this year aims to raise over $100,000,” said Harley-Davidson Promotions Executive, Isabel Perez. “Harley-Davidson is proud to have launched our own pink label range in 2009 with proceeds going towards cancer support groups.
“We are aware of the barriers that women and men with breast cancer face and hope to make this year’s event even pinker and better.”
